Are we there yet?

Updated: Jul 5, 2021

I bet you didn't know that today, the 19th August is the day for achieving completion, for finally accomplishing what you set out to do.

On this day, 19th August in 1907, the longest fence in the world, the rabbit-proof fence was completed. On the 19th August 1930, two halves of the Sydney Harbour Bridge were joined. And on the 19th August 2020, my winter hibernation ended and I shaved my legs.

[Insert inspirational quote here] “It always seems impossible, until it’s done.” - Nelson Mandela

I had thought I couldn’t possibly grow leg hair that long, but there you go, I did.

This week is Week 33 of 2020. If you’re having a rough year – and let’s face it, who isn’t – hang in there! If we look at 2020 as if it were just one day, then it’s currently 3.23pm in the afternoon. Which means, we’re tired, peckish and maybe needing a little lie down. So, grab a coffee or a Kit-Kat, or both. Take five, treat yourself, do whatever’s needed to make it to the end of the day. Or the end of 2020. Together we’ll get there… to the end, that is… when eventually 2020 will be completed.
